About Our School
Truth for Youth School is a licensed unit (Kindergarten—Grade 5) operating under the American system of education with approval of the Cayman Islands Department of Education. Truth for Youth School employs only teachers licensed by the Cayman Islands Department of Education and utilizes United States and Cayman Islands curricula throughout its program. Additionally, Renaissance Star 360 are given in Upper Kindergarten thru Grade 5 as external assessments of student progress in our school. Our program is one of commitment to Christ as a Christian School and is of the highest academic standard as a regular institution.

Acting Principal
Dr. Sandra P. Franklin-Hamilton serves as the Acting Principal,bringing over 23 years of dedicated experience in education across the primary, secondary, and university levels. Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to student growth, academic excellence, and the holistic development of every learner. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business, a master’s degree in social work, and a Ph.D. in Sociology. Throughout her career, she has directed daily school operations and spearheaded strategic planning initiatives, ensuring policies and practices align with school values and enhance student outcomes.
Her experience includes mentoring and evaluating teachers, guiding them through feedback and support to cultivate pedagogical excellence. She has also designed and implemented customized educational plans for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring equitable access to high-quality education.
Before moving into leadership at the primary level, Dr. Sandra P. Franklin-Hamilton spent years teaching at the high school and university levels. She provided mentorship and academic guidance to students aged 13–18, advised undergraduate and graduate learners on research, and developed assessment tools to systematically measure progress and inform instruction. Her work in higher education emphasized cultural awareness, diversity, and equity, creating opportunities for students to engage with perspectives from a wide range of communities.
Dr. Sandra P. Franklin-Hamilton is recognized for her ability to blend academic rigor with student-centered support, equipping young learners with the skills they need to think critically, solve problems, and achieve success. She continues to see education as a transformative force and remains dedicated to ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
